India Also Releases Pakistani Soldier

New Delhi – Pakistan has released BSF (Border Security Force) soldier Purnab Kumar Shaw, who has now returned to India. In a reciprocal gesture, India has also released a Pakistani soldier who was captured after crossing into Indian territory. Both countries have now released each other’s soldiers.

Purnam Kumar Shaw (182 Bn) was detained by Pakistan Rangers 🇵🇰 on Apr 23 after accidentally crossing the International border near Ferozepur.

1.On April 22, terrorists carried out an attack in Pahalgam. The following day, April 23, Shaw accidentally crossed the Pakistan border, where he was apprehended by Pakistani troops.
2.A tense situation had developed between the two countries after the Pahalgam terrorist attack, which reportedly led to delays in the release of the soldiers.
3.40-year-old Shaw has been serving in the Border Security Force for the past 17 years and is a native of Hooghly, Bengal.
