After the attack at Pahalgam, anguished countrymen demand

Mumbai – After the jihadi terrorist attack in Pahalgam (Jammu-Kashmir) where Hindus were killed after asking their religion, the country is on the boil. People are anguished and angry. Each and every citizen is demanding harsh action against the terrorists. The anguished Indians are demanding a country-wide ban on Pakistani actor Fawad Khan’s ‘Abir Gulaal’. Some are comparing the terrorist attack in Pahalgam and Fawad Khan film and the 2016 Uri attack. At that time Fawad Khan’s film ‘E Dil hai Mushkil’ was exhibited a month after the Uri attack. After the Uri attack India had banned giving roles to Pakistani actors. But this ban was lifted in 2022; and the terrorist attack in Pahalgam has re-opened old wounds.
The film ‘Abir Gulaal’ is to be released on 9th May. The Film was already facing dispute before this. MNS (Maharashtra Navnirman Sena) had objected to Fawad Khan’s return to Bollywood and had warned that they would not allow this Film to be exhibited in Maharashtra.
Editorial PerspectiveExhibiting a film that stars actors from the Hinduphobic enemy country is a shame for the administrators. |
