Waqf Amendment Bill alleged to be an attack on Muslim rights

Bhatkal (Karnataka) – On Friday, Muslims in Bhatkal protested the Waqf Amendment Bill by wearing black armbands after offering prayers. They strongly opposed the bill and declared their support for the All-India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB).
Speaking outside the Tanzim Jamia Masjid in Navayat Colony, Majlis-e-Islah and Tanzim President Inayatullah Shabandri strongly condemned the Waqf Amendment Bill, calling it a direct attack on Muslim rights. He firmly stated that the bill would not be accepted under any circumstances. He also announced that Majlis-e-Islah and Tanzim would soon organize a large protest march in Bhatkal to escalate the agitation against the bill.
