Khalistanis attack on Himachal Pradesh Transport Bus

Bus had no posters of Khalistani Terrorist Bhindranwale

Amritsar (Punjab) – Two HRTC buses were attacked in Punjab, leading to suspension of services on 10 routes. The incidents appear connected to a recent controversy involving Bhindranwale flags in Manali. Himachal Chief Minister Sukhvinder Sukhu discussed the matter with Punjab CM Bhagwant Maan, seeking strict action. There was no loss of life in this attack. At this time, the driver, conductor and passengers somehow saved their lives. The attackers later fled. Many videos of this attack are being circulated on social media.

1. Before this attack, buses from Himachal were stopped in Punjab and posters with the picture of Khalistani terrorist Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale were pasted on them. The Khalistani had threatened that, ‘If any bus coming from Himachal does not have Bhindranwale’s poster pasted on it, they will not be allowed to enter Punjab’.

2. Punjab Police has said that the people who attacked the bus will be arrested soon. The Police have appealed to the people to maintain peace and not take the law into their own hands.

3. A few days ago, a controversy had erupted in Himachal Pradesh over Bhindranwale’s poster. Local people and Police had removed Khalistan flags that were placed on the two- wheelers of Sikh youths.

Editorial Perspective

Are Punjab Police sleeping while Khalistanis are openly carrying out activities ? Since the Aam Aadmi Party took power in Punjab, a lenient approach has been adopted toward Khalistanis. Considering this, it has become necessary to impose President’s rule in Punjab for the security of the country !
