35 stitches to her head
Indore (Madhya Pradesh) – A two-year-old girl was attacked by a few stray dogs in the Panchkuiya Ram Temple premises in Indore. The dogs dragged her, bit her eye, and tore her head. Hearing her screams, the mother rushed to save her. The father and other devotees helped chase away the dogs. After being turned away from four hospitals, she was finally admitted to MY Hospital, where she received 35 stitches. She is now out of danger but will take a month to recover. The incident took place on 19th March.
According to locals, there are more than 50 ferocious dogs in the temple area, which have attacked devotees and cows and calves in the cowshed. On 19th March, three devotees were bitten by dogs. Due to this incident, Mahamandaleshwar Ramgopaldasji Maharaj called the Municipal Commissioner and the Mayor and demanded action. They have demanded the construction of a large shelter for dogs outside the city.
Editorial PerspectiveIf a person is punished according to the law when he attacks, why are stray dogs not punished ? If dogs are going to take lives, then such dogs must be put down. The Government should seriously think about this ! |
