Gopalganj (Bihar) – A shocking incident of rape of an 80-year-old Dalit Hindu woman has recently come to light in the Gopalganj District. The victim had gone to her field to cut grass when Syed Ali (also known as Chhote Alam) arrived there. Overcome by lust, he caught hold of the woman and raped her. The incident took place on 14thMarch. After committing the crime, he even attempted to gouge out her eyes. Thinking she was dead, he fled the scene. The woman’s family lodged a complaint at Baikunthpur Police Station. Police have confirmed that the main accused has been arrested.
1. The victim’s condition was so critical that she regained consciousness only after 19 hours. When she narrated the incident after regaining consciousness, it shocked everyone. Her son went to Syed Ali’s house, but he was met with caste-based slurs and death threats from Babuddin, Shahbuddin, Saddam, Hashmat, and Jummadin, who were present there along with Syed Ali, and they chased him away.
2. Apart from the main accused, Police have also registered a case against four other members of accused’s family, according to Baikunthpur Police Station officer Abhay Kumar Ranjan. Anti-Hindu media
