Muslims attack Hindu family for bursting firecrackers at Shrinathji Temple in Gujarat

Vipul Thakkar injured in the attack

Dwarka (Gujarat) – In Khambhalia, Devbhoomi Dwarka, four Muslims attacked a Hindu family for bursting firecrackers in the premises of Shrinathji Temple. The attackers have been identified as Maqsood, Tausif, Moin, and Phoolkand. The attackers objected to the celebrations, citing Ramzan. This led to a dispute, following which the Muslim accused attacked the Hindu family. Two people, including a minor, were injured in the attack. The Police have registered a case under Sections 115(2), 117(2), and 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

1. A member of the victimized Hindu family was bursting firecrackers in the Shrinathji Temple premises when Maqsood, Moin, Phoolkand, and Tausif entered the temple armed with big sticks. The Muslim attackers verbally abused and physically assaulted the Hindu family. Upon seeing the neighbours arriving, the attackers fled the scene. In the attack, Vipul Thakar and his nephew from the Hindu family were injured.

2. Vipul Thakar alleged that the attackers not only misbehaved with them but also insulted the temple and Hindu Deities. They also issued death threats to the Hindu family.

The Police are investigating the matter further.

Editorial Perspectives

Note that Muslims, who cannot tolerate the sound of firecrackers burst once or twice a year by Hindus, subject Hindus to the loud and jarring sound of Azaan five times a day through loudspeakers.
