Warning by Bangladesh Army Chief
Political instability in Bangladesh likely again !

Dhaka (Bangladesh) – The situation in Bangladesh has changed rapidly after the coup against the Sheikh Hasina government. The political atmosphere seems to be changing once again. In the wake of the delay in the elections, bangladesh’s armed forces chief General has warned the political parties. Bangladesh’s armed forces chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman has said that political parties should hold elections this year. If they fight each other, the country’s independence may be in danger. I do not wish for anything else. I only want to see the country in safe hands. I have experienced a lot in the last 7-8 months. I’m warning you in advance so you don’t say tomorrow
that I didn’t tell you. I thought my work was done; but it will take me more time to resolve it. After that I will take leave.
The army chief’s statement comes at a time when differences have arisen among various student groups in the country. These groups led to the toppling of Sheikh Hasina’s government. On the other hand, Nahid Islam, an information advisor in the Mohammad Yunus government and one of the key leaders of the student movement, has resigned from the cabinet. He said that, given the current situation in the country, a new political force should emerge. I have resigned from the Advisory Council to take to the streets to strengthen the people’s movement.
