Mumbai – Former Union Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav calling global festivals like Maha Kumbha Mela ‘nonsense’, has hurt the religious sentiments of crores of Hindus. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) strongly condemns this statement and demands immediate legal action by the Government against Yadav, said the press note released by the committee.
🚨 Outrageous Statement! 🚨
RJD President & former Railway Minister, Lalu Prasad Yadav makes a shocking anti-Hindu comment, saying ‘Kumbh has no meaning and it’s a useless thing’.
By politicizing the recent stampede in Delhi, Yadav is trying to score political points and fuel… pic.twitter.com/LTxjmpls6b

The press release further states, that if Yadav had ever made such insulting statements regarding pilgrimages of other religions? Hindu society will not tolerate this tendency to insult Hindu religion and its places of worship. If Yadav, who is out on bail, does not regret his crimes even after spending many years in prison and making controversial remarks insulting the places of worship of Hindu society, then it was an attempt to create a rift in society; by inciting the sentiments of Hindus. The Government should take serious note of this fact.
