Prayagraj – Since the beginning of the Maha Kumbha Mela, many Saints, Mahants, and Mahamandaleshwars have proclaimed the ‘Hindu Rashtra’. Taking a step further, they gathered in the ‘Hindu Rashtra Convention’ organised at the Maha Kumbha Mela to bring this concept to reality. The Saints who gathered in the convention resolved to contribute to establishing Hindu Rashtra, having resolved to establish a Dharma-oriented Hindu Rashtra. Devout Hindus at the convention prayed at this time to receive the Dharmatej and Kshatratej of the Saints for this work of Dharma and resolved to work hard towards establishing the ‘Hindu Rashtra’.
On 31st January, the ‘Akhil Bharatiya Dharmasangh’ and ‘Hindu Janajagruti Samiti’ jointly organised this Convention. Saints and others were greeted at the Convention venue with the slogans – ‘We will make India great, we will make it a Hindu Rashtra’, ‘Jai Shri Ram’, ‘Har Har Mahadev’. The Saints and representatives of spiritual institutions were all very enthusiastic about the establishment of the ‘Hindu Rashtra’. This enthusiasm exuded through the speeches of all the dignitaries at the Convention.
Although the work of various organisations is different, the establishment of ‘Hindu Rashtra’ is their common agenda. Therefore, the speakers appealed to work together for this purpose.
Events at the Convention
1. The Convention began with the blowing of a conch. Ashutosh Jha and Anup Kumar Dwivedi (Veda teachers of Shri Swami Karpatri Vedashtra Anusandhan Kendra, Akhil Bharatiya Dharma Sangh) recited shlokas from the Vedas.
2. Nilesh Kulkarni (Deputy Editor of Daily ‘Sanatan Prabhat’) provided information on the contribution of Daily ‘Sanatan Prabhat’ in the task of establishing the ‘Hindu Rashtra’.
3. Sadguru (Dr) Charudatta Pingale (National Guide of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti – HJS) and Sadguru Nilesh Singbal (Dharmapracharak of HJS) honoured the Saints present on the dais by garlanding them with flowers, Rudraksha beads and gifting shawls. The speeches of Saints were full of blessings and Kshatratej.
Determination to work together
Saints, Mahants, representatives of Hindu organisations, devout Hindus and experts from various Akhadas expressed their views on the atrocities being faced by Hindus in Bangladesh and Pakistan, the threat posed to India’s internal security by Bangladeshi infiltrators, the legal fight for the liberation of Kashi, Mathura and other temples, and efforts to establish a ‘Hindu Rashtra’ by uniting Hindu society, organisations and Saints. Keeping in mind the need of the hour, everyone decided to work together on these tasks.
Thoughts of Some Saints and Mahants
Hindutva is in danger till people become sensitive towards Hindu Dharma : Anandadas Bhaiyyaji Maharaj
To establish a ‘Hindu Rashtra’, Hindus should first create a machinery. To protect Dharma, Hindus must first embrace it. Till Hindus become sensitive towards Dharma, Hindus will be divided. The killings of Hindus will not stop. Hindus need to unite to establish a ‘Hindu Rashtra’.
India must be declared a ‘Hindu Rashtra’ Constitutionally : Shrimad Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Swami Rajeshwar Mouli Sarkar, Peethadheeshwar Shri Rukmini Vidarbha Peeth
India is governed by a Constitution. Hence, India should be declared a ‘Hindu Rashtra’ Constitutionally. Those who call ‘Hindu Rashtra’ anti-Constitution should note that India is safe only because of Hindus. The slogan ‘Batenge toh Katenge’ (if divided, we will be killed) is for Hindus only. Hindus should understand Dharma and behave accordingly. Even though ants are small, they can kill a big python unitedly. Hindus are in trouble because they are divided. Hindus need to unite to protect Dharma.
We want a ‘Hindu Rashtra’ with Dharma-oriented governance : Sadguru (Dr) Charudatta Pingale (National Guide of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti)
Rajdharma is a part of the ‘Hindu Rashtra’. For its establishment, it is also necessary to create a society which follows Dharma and has good character. In the Sanatan tradition, the Hindu State and Nation are together. The British separated the concepts of the State and Nation according to Christian and European ways of ruling India. The British separated Dharma from State administration. Although we are traditionally a ‘Hindu Rashtra’, we want a ‘Hindu Rashtra’ Constitutionally and with a Dharma-oriented governance.
