Protests allowed only between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Mumbai – The State Government has announced the final regulations regarding marches, sit-in protests, agitations etc. at Azad Maidan. According to these, only one protest per day will be allowed and that too between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. These regulations will be published in the Gazette in the second week of April.
These are the rules:
1. There will be a ban on marching on the roads and obstructing the traffic while going towards Azad Maidan or while marching elsewhere from Azad Maidan.
2. The organizers will be allowed to gather a maximum of 5,000 people.
3. It will be mandatory for the organizer to be present in the designated area of Azad Maidan throughout the duration of the event.
4. If any rule is violated or the directions of the competent authority granting permission are not followed, the organizer will face legal action.
5. Participants in the protest will be allowed to bring flags measuring 9 by 6 feet, mounted on a maximum two-feet pole, along with placards.
6. The use of inflammatory, provocative speeches and language that hurts the sentiments of various communities and groups and disrupts the harmonious atmosphere will be prohibited.
7. Participants in the protest are prohibited from bringing sticks, swords, firearms, and flammable materials.
8. It is prohibited to bring tractors, bullock carts, cycle rickshaws, handcarts, and heavy vehicles.
Adulteration in milk and dairy products will be dealt with on a priority basis!
