Mumbai – Riaz Ahmad Saqir Ahmad Khan and Parvez Ahmad Saqir Ahmad Khan were taken into custody in connection with a tempo carrying beef found at Nagpada. Police are in search of the owner and driver of this tempo. The beef weighed around 200 kg. A case has been filed in this context. Mr Rajiv Chaube, Mumbai city area minister of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) had been to the Police station for filing a case when a meeting was going on in a senior Police Inspector’s cabin. Mr Chaube raised slogans against cow-trafficking outside the Police station. At this time, an unknown person gathered a mob of 50-60 people and started raising slogans in favour of cow-trafficking, besides pelting stones. A case has also been filed against the unknown person in this regard. (Stone-pelters should be imprisoned. – Editor)
