
Amravati, Maharashtra – A scam has been exposed in Anjangaon Surji taluka of the District regarding birth certificates issued to illegal Bangladeshis and Rohingyas. BJP leader Kirit Somaiya will visit taluka on January 13 to investigate the scam.
According to the 2011 census, the population of Anjangaon Surji taluka is 1,60,903. Out of this, 28,180 are Muslims. In the last six months, they received more than 1,450 applications for birth certificates, out of which 1,400 applications were from illegal Bangladeshi Rohingyas, Kirit Somaiya informed. A special investigation team has been formed to investigate this matter.
