Murshidabad (Bengal) – Some unknown persons opened fire on the procession of Shri Mahakali in Sarbangpur here, injuring one person. He has been admitted to the hospital. The firing was carried out from a running bus. Locals stopped the bus, took it under control, and staged a roadblock protest. A large Police force reached the location upon receiving the information.
Bomb blast in a Muslim’s house in Murshidabad
Farid Sheikh was injured in a bomb blast at a Muslim house in Ramkrishna Palli area of Murshidabad. BJP MLA and Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Suvendu Adhikari claimed that Farid Sheikh is a Trinamool Congress leader. He demanded a thorough investigation into the matter. Police said the cause of the blast is yet to be determined.
