Actress Upasana Singh shares disturbing experience regarding casting couch

Mumbai – Actress Upasana Singh, who gained fame through ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’, recently revealed that during her career in the film industry, a prominent director once called her to a hotel late at night under the pretext of offering her a role in a film. She shared this disturbing experience during a conversation with Siddharth Kannan. Upasana mentioned that the director, known for his work in southern cinema, called her to his office late at night, claiming he wanted to offer her a role in a film starring actor Anil Kapoor.
Upasana Singh said, ‘After being offered a role in the film, I would go to the director’s office with my mother and sister. On one occasion, at around 11:30 pm, the director called me and asked, ‘Why do you always bring your mother and sister with you ? Come to the hotel tonight to meet me’. Upasana replied, ‘I will come tomorrow and listen to the story’. The director responded, ‘Don’t you understand what I mean by meeting ?’ After this, Upasana spent the whole night thinking about the situation, and the next day, she went to the director’s office to confront him and then left.
Upasana said that after this incident, she did not leave her room for a week. She was constantly in tears because she had told everyone that she would be working with Anil Kapoor. However, after this event, she became stronger and decided that she would not leave the Bollywood industry.
