Order of the New York Court

Indian industrialist Gautam Adani

Washington (USA) – The New York Court has taken a significant decision in the ongoing bribery cases against Indian industrialist Gautam Adani in the United States. The Court ordered that all three civil and criminal cases pending against Adani should be heard simultaneously. Also, all the three cases should be heard together in a single Court. It is said that the Court gave this decision after it observed that all three cases are related to the same allegations and transactions.

To avoid any conflict, these cases have been placed before a single judge.

What is the matter ?

Recently, Gautam Adani and some of his associates were accused in the US of paying bribes worth an estimated Rs 2,300 crore to secure solar power contracts. Some US lawyers have also alleged that this fact was hidden from the investors and US banks from whom money was raised for the project. The Adani group has consistently said that all these allegations are baseless.
