The sacred journey of Adi Shankaracharya begins anew
Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh – The ancient and revered ‘Chhadi Yatra’ is on its way to Kumbh Kshetra in Prayagraj, symbolizing the eternal flame of Sanatan Dharma. The Yatra, which began from Haridwar a few days ago, is being accompanied by sadhus and saints of the Shri Panch Dashnam Awan Akhada. The Yatra is led by Dadaji Dhauniwale Shri Mahant Gopal Giri Maharaj of the Awan Akhada. Devotees will have the opportunity to witness and offer their prayers to the holy Chhadi at Kumbh Kshetra’s Awan Akhada until February 27 th.
Chhadi Yatra: Celebrating 1,220 years of spiritual tradition
This year’s ‘Chhadi Yatra’ holds immense historical and spiritual significance as it marks the 1,220thanniversary of this revered pilgrimage. According to tradition, Adi Shankaracharya initiated the Chhadi Yatra along with 550 Naga Sadhus of the Awan Akhada to restore temples across India and revitalize Sanatan Dharma.
