Dhaka (Bangladesh) – The Election Commission of Bangladesh has begun preparations for the upcoming general elections. Chief Election Commissioner A.M.M. Nasiruddin stated that unless an interim government or judiciary imposes a ban, former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s party, the Awami League, can participate in the general elections.
