Only 156 Bangladeshi infiltrators deported from Mumbai in the past 11 months

Forged Indian documents available for Rs 2,000

Mumbai – Bangladeshi Muslim infiltration is a problem being faced across the country. Many organizations are trying to take action against Bangladeshis. The statistics of Bangladeshis expelled from Mumbai in the last 11 months have been revealed. In the last 11 months, 156 Bangladeshis were deported from Mumbai, while 6 women were extradited. A report on the action taken against acquitted Bangladeshi citizens in the year 2024 has been published by the ‘Special Branch (I)’. This information has been revealed in that report.

1. The accused had obtained Aadhaar cards and PAN cards based on fake documents to reside in India. Investigation has revealed that the Indian documents were obtained for Rs 500 to Rs 2,000.

2. Last year, 368 Bangladeshi nationals were arrested from Mumbai alone. Before that, 147 Bangladeshi nationals were arrested from Mumbai in the year 2022. The State Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) had conducted a special operation in Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Solapur and Nashik Districts last week and arrested 43 Bangladeshi infiltrators in a month.

Action will also be taken against locals who help infiltrators

After arresting Bangladeshi nationals, the process of sending them back to their homeland takes many years. During that time, infiltrators take advantage of various Government schemes. They do illegal work to settle other Bangladeshi infiltrators in India. Therefore, the Anti-Terrorism Squad has started taking action against the entire chain of fake document creation and other assistance to infiltrators. Under this, notices will be sent to the banks to close the bank accounts of suspected Bangladeshi nationals, and correspondence is also being done with the relevant departments to cancel ration cards and driving licenses.

Editorial Perspective

Even though it has been revealed that there are 5-6 crore Bangladeshi infiltrators in the country, why is no strict action being taken against them ? Action should be taken against all those who facilitate the entry of Bangladeshi Muslim infiltrators into India, provide them local assistance and avoid action against them.
