Baku (Azerbaijan) – An Azerbaijan Airlines plane crashed on 25th December, killing 38 people. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev had held Russia responsible for the crash. Now Russia has assured Azerbaijan that those responsible for the crash will definitely be punished.
Russia apologised to Azerbaijan for the plane crash, but did not admit that its air defense missile was the cause of the crash.
President Ilham Aliyev has made three demands to Russia regarding the Azerbaijani plane crash. First, Russia should apologise to Azerbaijan. Second, Russia should admit its mistake, and third, Russia should punish the perpetrators and compensate the Azerbaijani Government, the families of the dead, and the injured passengers.
