Hindu woman dies after getting gang-raped in Bangladesh

Dhaka (Bangladesh) – Violence against the minority Hindu community continues in Bangladesh. Not only are Hindu religious places being targeted, but Hindu women are also being murdered and raped. Recently, a 52-year-old Hindu woman died mysteriously in Narail after getting gang-raped. Some Bangladeshi Hindus who came to India narrated the painful incident of violence. The victim’s family says that the victim returned home at 8 p.m. on December 24^th. Since then, she had been vomiting continuously. After having dinner that night, she went to sleep without talking anything. The next day, on December 25^th, the woman’s condition deteriorated. She was admitted to Jessore General Hospital. She died there on the night of December 26^th. There is an atmosphere of anger among local Hindus regarding this incident.

1. A local youth, on the condition not to reveal his name due to fear, said that the concerned woman was gang-raped. As she was tortured physically and mentally, she was under constant stress. Due to this, she committed suicide by consuming pesticide out of shame and stress.

2. The son of the deceased woman said that his mother was being treated very badly. This made her upset.
