Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh) – Twelve Bangladeshi Hindus who came here from Bangladesh met Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati of Jyotish Peeth and made some demands to him. They demanded separate land for Hindus in Bangladesh along the India border. They also demanded population exchange between India and Bangladesh. As many Hindus are coming to India from Bangladesh, those many Muslims should be sent from India to Bangladesh. A Hindu born anywhere in the world should be considered a natural citizen of India like Israel. Also, the visa granted to Bangladeshi Hindus who came to India before the coup of August 5th, 2024, should be extended and they should not be forcibly sent back to Bangladesh. They should be given employment in India.
Attempts to declare Bangladesh an ‘Islamic nation’
Bangladeshi Hindus said that there is only one policy in Bangladesh now and that is to declare Bangladesh an Islamic nation. Wherever Hindus are seen in Bangladesh, they are being targeted. Temples are being taken over. Muslims there are entering Hindu houses, beating Hindu women and raping them.
