Major plane crash in South Korea : 179 dead

Muan (South Korea) – A Boeing 737-800 jet crashed on the runway at Muan (South Korea) airport, killing 179 people. A video of the incident has been shared on social media. The exact cause of the accident is being investigated. According to initial estimates, the plane skidded off the runway due to a malfunction in the plane’s landing gear and exploded. According to some, the plane was hit by a bird.

There were 181 people on board. Of these, 175 were passengers and 6 crew members. Only 2 of them survived. The plane had taken off from Bangkok, Thailand. It is said that this is the worst plane crash in South Korea’s history. The South Korean President has expressed his condolences over the plane crash.
