Every 12 years, Hindus go on religious pilgrimages to Prayag (Allahabad), Hardwar (Haridwar), Ujjain and Tryambakeshwar-Nashik on the occasion of Kumbh festival. It is called ‘Kumbh Mela’. As Kumbh festival is very auspicious, taking a bath at Prayag, Hardwar (Haridwar), Ujjain and Tryambakeshwar-Nashik at that time brings infinite merit. That is why crores of devotees, ascetics (sadhus) and Saints gather at that place. In the Kumbh, bathing with the other Saints of one’s order (akhara) along with their disciples, as per the order decided by the Saints of various Akharas is called ‘Rajayogi * (Royal) Bath’. (* Earlier was referred to as Shahi )

Scientific research was conducted on behalf of Maharshi Adhyatma Vishwavidyalay to study the spiritual effect of the Rajayogi (Royal) Bath on the water. For this study, UAS (Universal Aura Scanner) was used. This device can measure positive and negative energy auras in objects, premises and people. The readings of this study are given below.

The Universal Aura Scanner (UAS) was developed in 2005 by Dr. Mannem Murthy, a former nuclear scientist from Telengana. By using this instrument the energy and the aura of an object, a premises, an animal or an individual can be measured.

1. Analysis of the observations in the study : The water of the Holy Triveni Sangam at Prayag was studied on 3 consecutive days as follows, using the UAS device.

A. Before Rajayogi Bath : On 14.1.2019, the day before Makar Sankranti

B. After the Rajayogi Bath by Saints in Triveni Sangam : On 15.1.2019, the day of Makar Sankranti

C. On 17.1.2019, 2 days after Makar Sankranti

1 A. UAS readings of the water at Triveni Sangam (confluence of 3 rivers) Prayag : No negative energy was found in the water of Triveni Sangam at Prayag. Readings of Triveni Sangam water are as given ahead.

1 A 1. In the water of Triveni Sangam at Prayag, there is inherent Divine Consciousness (Chaitanya) : A day before the Rajayogi (Royal) Bath (on 14.1.2019), the positive Energy Aura in the water of Triveni Sangam was 1.4 Metres. Prayag is a pilgrimage site situated at the sacred ‘Triveni Sangam’, the confluence of Rivers Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati (this river is invisible). It is because of this Holy confluence that it is called ‘Prayagraj’ or ‘Tirtharaj’. Where there is a confluence of Sattvik rivers, the atmosphere of that place is more Sattvik.

1 A 2. Increase in Chaitanya in the water of Triveni Sangam after Rajayogi (Royal) Bath : Positive energy aura in the water after Rajayogi Bath was 1.58 Metres, which is more than the previous day. This is unique. The Chaitanya of the water of the Triveni Sangam increased due to the Chaitanya emitted by the Saints during the Rajayogi Bath. This shows the spiritual significance of the Rajayogi Bath.

Even after crores of devotees have bathed during the Kumbh festival, the Chaitanya of the water of Triveni Sangam is preserved : On 17.1.2019, the positive energy aura in the water of Triveni Sangam was 1.35 Metres. This was after the other devotees (common people) had taken a bath in it. However Ganga being the most Holy river, even after crores of devotees have bathed in it during the festival, its water does not become polluted, rather its purity is retained. This is because the Ganga has the ability to attract the Divine principle and hence is always Holy.
