Stone-pelting by fanatic Muslims on Ramvivah procession near a Mosque

Darbhanga (Bihar) – On Friday, 6th December, in Tarauni village, there was stone-pelting near a Mosque on a Ramvivah procession. Several individuals were injured during this attack. 3 of them are in critical condition. In a 30-year-old tradition of Ramvivah procession, this is the first time that stone-pelting has occurred.

According to the report, the Muslims stopped the procession and started lathi charge. After this stone-pelting began from both sides.

As soon as the information reached the Police, a large contingent reached the site and controlled the situation. A large number of Police personnel are deployed at the site of the incident. District Administration Officials are camping at the site. The Sub-Divisional officer said, “After stone-pelting, the situation is under control, but why violence broke out, who are the people spoiling the environment by stone pelting, we are investigating the matter.”

What is Ramvivah procession ?

Shriram and Sitamata got married on Margadashirsha Panchami. It is a tradition to celebrate this marriage ceremony of decorated Idols of Shriram and Sita Mata in the temples, at many places, in North India, they take out a procession on this occasion. This procession is called Ramvivah procession.

It appears that Hindu religious procession is the place for attacks by Muslim fanatics. Kashmir stone-pelting has stopped; however, the Hindu processions are still targeted. It is a shame on all political parties.
