Badaun (UP)’s Jama Masjid built over the demolished Neelkanth Mahadev Temple

Judicial case ongoing in the civil Court

Jama Masjid in Badaun (Uttar Pradesh)

Badaun (Uttar Pradesh) – The Jama Masjid standing here has been constructed by demolishing the Neelkanth Mahadev Temple standing at the same premises earlier. In this regard, a petition has been filed in 2022 by the Hindu Mahasabha in the Senior Divisional Fast Track Division of the Civil Court here. On November 30th, the Jama
Masjid Committee submitted a plea in the Court. Now the next hearing will be held on December 3rd.

1. Jama Masjid’s lawyer Anwar Alam said that they had told the Court that there was no temple beneath the said mosque. “The Hindu Mahasabha has no right to initiate a case. They claim that a mosque has been built here by demolishing a temple. This mosque is 850 years old, meaning no temple exists there,” he added.

2. Hindu Mahasabha’s lawyer Vivek Rander said, “We have filed a petition to get permission to perform puja in Neelkanth Mahadev Temple. The debate is on whether the case should be heard or not. The arguments of the Government advocates are complete. Muslims have presented their side. The discussion is not over. The next date is December 3rd. We will give a detailed answer after the discussion of Muslims.”

3. Petitioner and State convenor of Hindu Mahasabha Mukesh Patel said, “We have filed a claim in the Court with complete evidence. We hope that we will get justice from the High Court and the Supreme Court, including the Sessions Court.”

Editorial Perspective

There is ample evidence that Muslim invaders demolished Hindu temples and converted the premises into mosques. Therefore, now the Hindus expect that the Union Government should allow the survey of all such places in India and give justice to the Hindus.
