Action of anti-terrorism squad in Ratnagiri

Ratnagiri – Anti-Terrorism Squad arrested 13 Bangladeshi infiltrators who were illegally residing at a laterite quarry in Nakhare village of Ratnagiri District in Maharashtra, in the early hours of November 12th. These 13 persons had entered India illegally in June 2024 without valid documents and without written permission from the authorities at the Indo-Bangladesh border and were living near Kalarkondwadi laterite quarry in Nakhre village. The quarry is owned by Asif Savkar from Pawas. A case has been registered against them and further investigation is being conducted by Assistant Police Inspector of Purnagad Police Station Ratnadeep Salokhe.
Workers from Marathwada or Karnataka State used to come to Nakhare’s laterite quarry every year; but this year the villagers suspected that the workers came from a different place. The villagers then informed the Police.
The 13 arrested Bangladeshis have been identified as Wahid Riaz Sardar, Rijaul Hussain Karikar, Shariful Houjir Sardar, Farooq Muhammad Zaheer Ali Mulla, Hamid Mustafa Mulla, Raju Ahmed Hazratli Shaikh, Baki Billah Ameer Hussain Sardar, Saidur Rehman Mubarak Ali, Alamgir Hussain, Muhammad Shaheen Sardar, Muhammad Nuruzman Morol, Muhammad Nurhasan Sardar and Mohammad Laloot Mondal (all from Dhaka, Bangladesh). Police Naik Ratkant Shinde of the Anti Terrorism Squad lodged a complaint against them.
