HJS warns of demonstrations in front of the Canadian Embassy in India

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) issues a stern warning

Mumbai – On November 4th, the Sikhs for Justice organization and pro-Khalistan supporters attacked a Hindu temple in Brampton, Canada. However, instead of taking firm action against the perpetrators, the Canadian Government is seen as supporting them. We strongly condemn this stance. There have been previous attacks on temples in Canada, and we demand that the Canadian Government implement measures to prevent further incidents and take strict action against all those responsible. If these steps are not taken, the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has warned that a protest will be organized in front of the Canadian Embassy in India to make the Canadian Government serious about the issue.

1. Despite knowing that the Indian High Commissioner would be visiting the temple in Canada, neither adequate security measures were taken to ensure his and the temple’s safety, nor any action was taken to prevent a potential attack. This raises questions as to whether the Canadian Government had tacitly approved of this incident.

2. Following the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, the Canadian Government has seemingly failed to prevent attacks on Hindu individuals and temples within its borders. We urge the Indian Government to bring this issue to the international stage and exert pressure on the Canadian Government to take decisive action.

3. Additionally, we demand that the Indian Government take firm action against those within India who support organizations involved in such attacks.
