Political exploitation over Manipur violence to tarnish India’s image is unfortunate

Mumbai – Dr S Jaishankar criticized the opposition, calling their political maneuvering over the Manipur violence regrettable. Speaking at a press conference at the BJP office, Jaishankar stressed that politicizing Manipur’s complex issues to damage India’s global image is inappropriate.

Reduced Infiltration Compared to Pre-2014

He added that, over the last decade, significant changes have been implemented along India’s borders. Thanks to progress in fencing projects, the level of infiltration seen before 2014 is no longer happening. He emphasized the government’s commitment to keeping India’s borders secure and pledged further fencing where necessary.

Maharashtra – An Ideal State for Investment

While discussing foreign investments, Jaishankar noted Maharashtra’s substantial role in India’s development ambitions, highlighting its geographic advantages. He mentioned that several German industries have chosen Maharashtra, reflecting its attractiveness as an investment destination.
