Bhagyanagar (Telangana) – Unknown miscreants allegedly vandalised a Goddess Durga idol and ransacked the mandap and puja materials in Hyderabad’s Nampally exhibition ground on Friday early hours amid Navratri celebrations across the nation.
The organisers of the event informed the police after learning about the incident on Friday morning.
A police team reached the spot and found that it was a deliberate act done by unknown persons after the dandiya event was over.

“At the pandal, there was a watchman who was there till 3 am. When he went to attend nature call at the nearby college, the unknown accused gained entry and committed the offence,” Assistant Commissioner of Police A Chandrasekar was quoted as saying by TOI.
After registering a case, police launched a probe and are verifying the nearby CCTV footage.
