Mosque built in Basoli village having 100% Hindu population

Enraged Hindus demand to remove the mosque

Secretly built mosque

Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) – A mosque has been secretly built in Basoli, a 100% Hindu village in Una District of the State. The people were shocked to see that a mosque was being built when there was no Muslim in the village and they gave a statement to the District administration to remove the mosque. Hindus and Muslims have already in a face off over illegal mosques in the Sanjauli area of Shimla, and also in many other cities across the State. Now a controversy has erupted in Una District over this incident.

The Hindus of Basoli village asked what the purpose of building a mosque was when there is no Muslim around to offer namaz. Hindus asked if this is a conspiracy to change the demographics of Una. This land was sold in 2010 to a Muslim. After that, construction started on this land. No one paid attention to the construction on this plot which was away from the road. Now the construction has been completed and a mosque is standing there, due to which, the matter has escalated. People had given a 7-day time to the District administration to remove the mosque; but now after 7-day period has passed, people’s anger has reached its peak.

The District administration has inspected the site of the mosque and its report will be submitted to the Collector.

Editorial Perspective

This is a horrific method wherein Muslims first build a mosque, then build houses around it to offer namaz, gain illegal control of the land and then legitimise it under the Waqf Act. Millions of Hindus in Himachal Pradesh today are fighting under the leadership of Kamal Gautam, a devout Hindu, to stop this ‘Land Jihad’. All Hindus across India should learn from this.
