Dead body of an officer from the Indian Embassy found in the US

Washington – The body of an officer from the Indian Embassy has been found in Washington D.C., the capital of the United States. The Indian Embassy is in contact with the family of the deceased officer. Authorities have stated that preliminary investigation suggests the officer took his own life by hanging. For maintaining the family’s privacy, the embassy has not published any information about the deceased officer.

The officer’s body will be repatriated to India as soon as possible. Local Police and intelligence agencies are investigating the incident. According to the local media, the Police have indicated that it appears to be a case of suicide, and further investigation is ongoing.
