Washington (USA) – “Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s mentality is similar to that of Muhammad Ali Jinnah. He wants to promote separatist thinking in the country. He wants to see the country bleed,” criticised Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Puri. Hardeep Puri is currently on a tour of the USA. He further said, “Rahul Gandhi never spoke about Sikhs in India. When the Congress was in power in the country, the Sikhs lived under the shadow of fear. Sikhs were attacked in the year 1984 during the Congress rule. Sikhs were afraid to even wear a turban.”

1. Rahul Gandhi, while on a three-day visit to the USA last month, had said that the fight in India was about whether Sikhs would be allowed to wear turbans, whether they would be allowed to wear kada (bracelet worn by the Sikhs) on their wrist.
