Majid Freeman jailed for inciting anti-Hindu riots in Leicester

Leicester, Britain – Majid Freeman has been sentenced to 22 weeks of imprisonment for inciting anti-Hindu riots here in 2022. He has been charged with terrorism and crimes related to terrorism. District Judge Amar Mehta of Northampton Magistrate’s Court sentenced him under section 4 on 9thSeptember. In 2022 anti-Hindu riots at Leicester, Majid had spread misinformation about Hindus and targeted their houses and temples.

2. On 28thAugust 2022, India had defeated Pakistan in a T20 cricket match. After that Majid had helped a person who insulted Indian flag.

3. Though Hindus were trying to avoid tension, Freeman continued instigation to insult Indian flag. He also spread rumour that Quran was burnt and after that, riots broke out.

Majid is opposing Israel attacking Gaza. He had supported Hamas terrorist attack on Israel on 7thOctober 2023. He had expressed support to Hamas and Palestine on social media too.
