Indore (Madhya Pradesh) – “As a responsible citizen of India, I consider it my duty to provide information about the horrific partition of united India in the year 1947 and the factors responsible for it. The Hindus of Bangladesh are suffering from the same hardships that Hindus have endured during that period. We can see and experience this in the horrific videos of looting, rape, inhuman beatings, murders and burnings of Hindus there. There are striking similarities between the atrocities committed against Hindus in India before and during partition and today. We should never forget the history. Otherwise it is repeated. In this view, it is the religious duty of all of us to perform tarpan rituals for the crores of Hindus who have sacrificed their lives to protect Dharma over the past 1,400 years,” said Meenakshi Sharan, President of Ayodhya Foundation. She has appealed to Hindus around the world to observe August 15th as ‘Shraddha Sankalp Divas’.
