Sanatan Sanstha celebrates ‘Guru Pornima Mahotsav’ at 77 locations across the country

Mumbai – One of the greatest tradition which is unique to Hindu Dharma is the Guru-Shishya (teacher-disciple) tradition. The tradition of expressing gratitude towards the Guru on Guru Pornima has been going on since ancient times. The Guru principle is 1000 times more active on Guru Pornima. On 21st July 2024, Sanatan Sanstha organised ‘Guru Pornima Mahotsav’ at 77 places across the country, to ensure that the people from the society can take advantage of this enhanced Guru principle. The festival was celebrated with great spiritual emotion. The event was conducted in Marathi at 64 locations, in Hindi at 8 locations, in Tamil at 2 locations, and in Gujarati and Malayalam at one location each. The festivities began with the worship of Shri Vyas and the image of H.H. Bhaktaraj Maharaj, a Saint revered by Sanatan Sanstha.

At various locations, Sanatan Sanstha’s seeker students who excelled in studies were honoured for their achievements. While guiding the attendees on ‘Spiritual practice to attain Bliss and to establish the Ram Rajya’, the speakers stated, “The establishment of Ram Rajya in the form of Hindu Rashtra is destined to happen. We are not supposed to just witnesses the Ram Rajya, but we must participate in it. We must become righteous by performing spiritual practice to be able to live in the Ram Rajya. Lasting happiness of the highest quality can be attained only through spiritual practice. Whether one desires to attain God or not, it is also important to practice spirituality in order to lead a satisfied life. Therefore, on the occasion of Guru Pornima, one should make a resolution to perform and increase one’s spiritual practice.” Self-defence techniques were also demonstrated during the Guru Pornima festival.

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) celebrates Guru Pornima festival at 71 locations

HJS celebrated Guru Pornima Mahotsav with great enthusiasm in Marathi, Bengali, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi languages ​​across 71 locations in the country. A large number of HJS seekers and other interested people were present.

‘Maharshi Adhyatma Vishwa Vidyalaya’ celebrates Guru Pornima festival

Maharshi Adhyatma Vishwa Vidyalaya celebrated Guru Pornima with great enthusiasm in English at Mumbai and Bangalore (Karnataka), while in Marathi at Nashik. Shri Vyas puja was performed during the event. Later, a brief introduction about the work, curriculum and research activities of Maharshi Adhyatma Vishwa Vidyalaya was given. Attendees were guided on the topic of ‘Guru-Disciple Tradition and Science of Sanatan Dharma’. This was followed by a video on ‘Temple Research’.

On 21st July, a Hindi version of the book ‘Sachchidananda Parabrahman Dr Jayant Athavale’s Precious Teachings, Volume 2 – Teaching through Conduct and through Subtle Dimensions’ was published at Katras (Jharkhand). Tamil versions of the books ‘Importance of the Guru’ and ‘Behaviour of the Guru’ were published in Chennai.
