Moscow (Russia) – Jihadi terrorists attacked 2 churches, 1 synagogue (Jewish temple) and a police station in the city of Makhachkala in the city of Derbent in Russia’s Dagestan province. 1 priest and 8 were killed, while 25 Policemen were injured. 6 terrorists were also killed in this encounter while some escaped. The terrorists beheaded a 66-year-old priest this time. Churches and synagogues were set on fire after the terrorist attack.
1. Russian news agency Tas reported that the attackers were members of an international terrorist organisation. Currently, no terrorist organisation has claimed responsibility for the attack. Also, no statement has been made by Ukraine.
2. Abdulkhakim Gadziyev, the leader of Dagestan, wrote on Telegram that there is no doubt that this terrorist attack is somehow related to the intelligence of Ukraine and NATO countries.
3. The attack in Russia’s Dagestan is the second major terrorist attack this year. Earlier there was a terrorist attack in March. 143 people died in it. Islamic State Khorasan claimed responsibility for the attack.
