Mumbai – The State Government’s appeasing minorities for not getting good votes in the Lok Sabha elections, is not a good thing. MNS president Prakash Mahajan raised the question that if, according to the state president of BJP Chandrashekhar Bawankule, such a decision was taken to strengthen the Waqf Board, then is that Government going to exploit Hindus ? The new Government has announced to give Rs. 10 crores for strengthening the Waqf Board. Prakash Mahajan condemned this decision.
If the Waqf Board lays claim to a land, the owner of that land cannot appeal to the court. He has to go to the Waqf authority. If the public had given enough support to Narendra Modi in the Lok Sabha elections, the Waqf Board itself would have been dismissed. In the Lok Sabha elections, Muslims voted less for the Mahayuti; therefore, the Government may have decided to give Rs. 10 crores to the Waqf Board. This will also get them some votes in the coming elections; but what about Hindus ? Prakash Mahajan also raised the question, how were they going to protect Hindus then ?
