Islamabad (Pakistan) – “Azerbaijan supports the peaceful resolution of the Kashmir issue. We believe that the Kashmir issue would be resolved according to the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council,” said Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov. He is on a 2-day visit to Pakistan. He held a press conference with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. At the time, he supported Pakistan on Kashmir issue.

Azerbaijan is unhappy due to India supporting Armenia

The reason Azerbaijan is unhappy with India is because of India’s support for Armenia, an enemy of Azerbaijan. Both Azerbaijan and Armenia are in a dispute over a region called Nagorno-Karabakh. There have been many wars between them. Armenia has bought arms from India. In this regard, an agreement worth Rs 6,000 crore was signed between India and Armenia. Azerbaijan had expressed displeasure over this defense agreement.

Editorial Perspective

India must tell Bayramov in a strict manner, that Kashmir is an integral part of India, and there is no need for any other country to speak anything about it.
