The Karnataka Congress Govt categorizes all Muslims as backward class

The reservation has been extended to include Muslims in government educational institutions and employment opportunities.

Bengaluru, (Karnataka) – The Congress-led government has extended backward class status to all Muslims in the state, granting them reservation in government-controlled educational institutions and public sector jobs. Muslims, constituting 12.92% of Karnataka’s population, have been included in the list of Other Backward Classes (OBCs), recognized as a religious minority within the state.

Prime Minister Modi has voiced criticism against this move, stating that the Congress aims to allocate privileges historically earmarked for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes to Muslims.

Editorial Perspectives

  • No Islamic country has ever given such a status to Muslims. However, the Congress government created a world record.
  • It is concerning that Congress, operating under the notion that ‘Muslims have the first right over India’s resources’, has granted backward-class status to all Muslims in Karnataka. This decision sets a dangerous precedent and raises fears of the potential Islamization of the country. Hindus must unite politically to end Congress’ political career.
