I am sorry if Neha’s parents were hurt by my statement : Karnataka HM

  • Congress Home Minister G Parameshwara clarifies his statement about the murder of Neha Hiremath in Hubballi (Karnataka)
  • Parameshwara had stated that the murder was due to personal reasons

Hubballi (Karnataka) – While there is widespread outrage over the murder of Neha Hiremath by a Muslim youth, Fayaz Khondunaik, the Congress is indulging in anti-Hindu politics. Neha was the daughter of a Congress corporator. Her father called the incident a case of ‘Love Jihad’; but the State Home Minister and Congress leader G Parameshwara said that this was not a Love Jihad case, and the killing was due to personal reasons. This outraged Neha’s parents and the women of Hubballi. So, Parameshwara has come out with clarification. He said, “I am sorry if Neha’s parents have been hurt by my words. The matter is becoming political as members of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad surrounded my house. I, the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister are in positions of responsibility. We don’t just make statements. I have given the statement based on the information received by me. The investigation is going on and the truth will be known after its completion.”

Editorial Perspective

The fact is that G Parameshwara and his allies in Congress have nothing to do with the suffering of Hindus. Now he is shedding crocodile tears only to prevent the issue from affecting Congress in the elections. However, he should realise that Hindus are wise.
