China is continuously encroaching on the land of Nepal

Flood likely due to the dam built on the River Arun

Kathmandu (Nepal) – China continues to tamper with the sovereignty of neighbouring countries. China has started encroachment in a part of neighbouring country Nepal. A dam is being constructed at Kimathanka village in Koshi state on the Nepal-China border. Due to this construction, China has diverted the flow of Arun River flowing here; but due to this encroachment, there is now a danger of flooding in the area of Nepal in the next monsoon season. Experts say that China is continuously encroaching in various parts of Nepal.

According to the information received from the intelligence agencies, China has built an estimated one kilometer long dam on the banks of the Arun River in Nepal. This construction done by China is an encroachment on the territory of Nepal. A few days ago, more than nine hectares of Nepali land in Nepal was damaged due to this construction. Neither China nor Nepal accepts it. China has not only encroached the land of Nepal but also changed the names of many religious places of Nepal.

Nepal cannot oppose China openly – Expert

International expert on China affairs from Delhi University Dr Abhishek Pratap Singh said that Nepal cannot openly oppose China on many issues. There are many reasons for this. Apart from China’s investment in Nepal, the aid it receives is a big aspect of this. Expert in Foreign Affairs Prof. JP Chakraborty said that in the year 2020, there was a report of Chinese encroachment in 36 hectares of Nepal from China. A journalist who was covering the Chinese invasion of Nepali land on the northern border committed suicide. There were many discussions about this in Nepal. Only last year, the information about the road construction done by China in Mustang district of Gandaki state in Nepal came to light. Apart from this, information about Chinese fences in many villages is also coming to light in Nepal. According to sources close to the Central Intelligence Agency, China has been continuously interfering in Nepal; but due to all kinds of pressure, Nepal cannot oppose openly.

Editorial Perspective

Even if Nepali Government officials and politicians have become puppets of China, it is essential that Nepali Hindus raise their voices against it.
