The UN issues state regarding Kejriwal’s arrest

New York (USA) – ‘We very much hope that in India, as in any country that is having elections, that everyone’s rights are protected, including political and civil rights, and everyone is able to vote in an atmosphere that is free and fair’, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres’s spokesperson Stephane Dujarric said at a press meet. This reaction comes in response to the questions raised by the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Earlier, countries like the United States and Germany also expressed concern regarding Kejriwal’s arrest. India has responded appropriately to both these countries.
