
Pune – 250-year-old Shri Vitthal-Rukmini Temple stands near the ancient Khajina well on Pune’s Tilak Road, which has ancient idols. On 8 th March at around 3 a.m., unknown persons broke opened the temple and stole the ancient silver idols which were present in the garbhagriha of the temple. These include idols of Shri Vitthal Rukmini, Shri Ganapati, and Shri Tuljabhavani. The thieves also took away the silver Makhar on the wall. A complaint has been filed in the Vishrambagh Police Station against unknown persons. Gaurav Sinnarkar has filed a case about this theft.
