Shahrukh, who burnt a Hindu girl alive in Dumka, found guilty by the Court in Dumka, Jharkhand

The sentence will be handed down on 28th March

Dumka (Jharkhand) – A special Court has convicted Shahrukh and his friend Naeem, who poured petrol on a 16-year-old Hindu girl and set her on fire. They will be sentenced on 28th March. It was Naeem who brought petrol to Shahrukh to carry out this horrifying act.

This incident took place on 23rd August 2022 at Dumka. Shahrukh lived next door to this girl, asking her for friendship for days. Angered by the girl’s refusal, Shahrukh poured petrol on her from the window of her house and set her on fire. She suffered 90% burns and died while undergoing treatment at the hospital.  ‘May Shahrukh also die like me’, she was saying before her death.
