Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale
H.H. Sandeep Alshi
For the past 35 years, Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale (Founder of Sanatan Sanstha) has been continuously working to re-instate Dharma on Earth. This is to ensure that the entire human race becomes blissful and that a sattvik (Spiritually pure) Divine rule (Ramrajya, Hindu Rashtra) that is ideal in all respects is established on Earth. Sanatan Sanstha is, in every respect, the torchbearer of this mission and it obtains the necessary strength of Knowledge and Chaitanya (Divine consciousness) from Sanatan’s Treasure of Texts. Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale once said to me – “Sanatan’s Texts are the  true preachers of Dharma !” There is enough evidence of this Divine quote becoming a reality. Sanatan Sanstha was established in 1999, and 2024 ushers in its Silver Jubilee year. On this occasion, this Article briefly sheds light on the role played by Sanatan’s Treasure of Texts and for Sanatan Sanstha to make rapid strides in its mission towards serving the Nation & Dharma.

Sanatan’s Unique Treasure of Texts

Over 9.59 million copies of 365 Sanatan’s Texts printed in 13 Indian languages as of February 2024

1. Experience of a Dharmapracharak seeker on how Dharma gets propagated through Texts

The Kumbhmela was held in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh in 2015. I had the satseva of preparing for the propagation of Dharma during the Kumbhmela. As a part of these preparations, I had to meet many people where we would give them Sanatan’s Text ‘Dharmashikshan Posters (Education on Righteousness)’. Upon seeing the Text, many people readily allowed us to write quotes from the Text on the walls of their houses/buildings to propagate Dharma. Many people also allocated space to us to put up big boards. – Mr Niranjan Chodankar, Ujjain. (18.2.2016)

2. People from various walks of life get connected with Sanatan Sanstha through the Texts

Sanatan has Texts on topics such as Dharma, Spirituality, Paths of spiritual practice, Deities, Removal of Personality Defects and Ego, Arts, Balsanskar, Child development, Ayurveda.

Mrs Pratibha Patil from Nerul, Navi Mumbai said – “The underlying science mentioned in Sanatan’s Text ‘Holy festivals, Religious festivals and Vowed religious observances’ is simply wonderful. We know little about the science; but this Text enlightens us with complete information”. Many people get attracted to Sanatan due to the vast knowledge on various subjects available in the Texts and start performing spiritual practice.

3. Texts that create patriots and Dharma-abiding seekers

Gurudev has written Texts on the Nation & Dharma such as ‘What is the need for a Hindu Nation ?’, ‘Hindu Nation : Criticism and Refutation’, due to which many patriots and those who abide by Dharma learn that one has to strive to establish an ideal Hindu Rashtra and this is the necessary samashti sadhana (Collective spiritual practice) as per the times. The Texts also provide guidance on the right course of action. Sanatan’s Texts have, therefore, become like Workshops for developing patriots and Dharma-abiding seekers !

4. Texts that have helped develop Saints who are inspired by the thought of propagating Dharma

Till 1.2.2024, 122 seekers have attained Sainthood by practicing the knowledge in Sanatan’s Texts, effectively meaning, by performing proper spiritual practice. Another 1,054 seekers are marching towards Sainthood. Many of Sanatan’s Saints and spiritually evolved seekers are performing satseva of propagating Dharma. Due to the Chaitanya in the voice of Saints, and by God’s grace on them, Sanatan’s mission of propagating Dharma is increasing manifold.

5. The unique features of Sanatan’s Texts help develop inquisitiveness for spiritual practice

The present generation is science-oriented and is curious to know the ‘why and how’ of every aspect. When they are explained the science underlying an aspect in Spirituality, they quickly believe in it and get attracted to spiritual practice.

Sanatan’s Texts have given scientific answers to the ‘why and how’ on every aspect of Spirituality. Most of the Texts also provide deep Divine knowledge that has never been received earlier and nor will it be in the future. Sanatan’s Texts not only provide theoretical clarification on spiritual practice, these also impart guidance on how to put this into action for a blissful life. The Texts also provide direction on how to remove obstacles in spiritual practice. Due to all these features, the spiritually curious value Sanatan’s Texts and start performing spiritual practice after studying them.

6. The spiritually curious get attracted to spiritual practice due to the Chaitanya in the Texts

Sanatan’s Texts, written by Gurudev, a spiritual personage of the highest order, are Chaitanya-enriched. This is why the teachings in them make a strong impression on the minds of the readers and they are automatically motivated to perform spiritual practice.

A. Employees at the printing press get spiritual experiences due to the Chaitanya in the Texts : Since 2011, Sanatan Sanstha’s Texts are being printed in 8 printing presses in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. While printing these Texts, many employees have had spiritual experiences. This has enhanced their faith in Sanatan Sanstha.

– Mr Santosh Gawde, Kolhapur. (31.3.2018)

B. Reading Sanatan’s Texts destroys the negative thoughts in the mind of a spiritually curious, and he overcomes his addiction : A mobile exhibition of Sanatan’s Texts was set up on the Dharmarath (A van that carries material for Prasar) in Nawapur (on the border of Maharashtra and Gujarat) in October 2019. A spiritually curious person came to the exhibition and said – ‘My wife left me for some reason. This increased my negativity and made me feel like I am a criminal. I used to think that when I go out and see people in the village, they will start talking about me. My self-confidence was destroyed and I got addicted to alcohol. Then, I saw your Dharmarath and bought some Texts of Sanatan on Personality Defects Removal. I realised that as I read the Texts, my body and mind benefitted. Consequently, I could overcome my addiction and negativity. I am immensely thankful to you. (He visited the Dharmarath again and bought more Texts on spiritual practice.) – Mr Sagar Mhatre, Dharmarathsevak, Phaltan, Satara, Maharashtra. (October 2019)

7. Opinions of Saints about Sanatan’s Texts

A. ‘Due to the Macaulay system of education, the today’s generation has drifted away from Dharma and Dharma-related thoughts. You are awakening Hindus through such exhibitions to establish the ‘Hindu Rashtra’ in the world. This is good and I will support you in this mission.’ – Shri Mahant Krishnadas Maharaj, National President, All India Shri Panch Digambar Agni Akhara (Daily Sanatan Prabhat, 30.1.2019)

Shrisatshakti (Mrs) Binda Singbal

A. Sanatan’s Texts are the magic stones that transform iron into gold : ‘Sanatan’s Texts created by Gurudev are like magic stones that transform iron into gold. Many have spiritually experienced a radical change in their lives after reading them. These Texts create a magical contact of devotion unto the Guru and devotion unto God, with our life, and in turn light up our lives.’ – Shrisatshakti (Mrs) Binda Singbal, One of the two Spiritual Heirs of Sachchidananda Parabrahman (Dr) Athavale, Goa.

Shrichitshakti (Mrs) Anjali Gadgil

C. Sanatan’s Texts will always be remembered as unparalleled in the scientific and spiritual world : ‘Approximately 30 to 80% of the writing in Sanatan’s Texts is completely new and is not mentioned anywhere on Earth. It is transcendental knowledge obtained from the Universal mind through meditation, just like the Sages did in the ancient times. Religious education in classical terms is the main feature of this collection. The spiritual experiences thousands of curious and seekers have had from these Texts is a Spiritual Certificate that proves the presence of Chaitanya in the Texts.’
– Sadguru (Dr) Vasant Balaji Athavale (Year 2013)

D. Sanatan’s Texts are a source of indigenous Chaitanya like the Vedas : ‘Sanatan’s Texts are a source of indigenous Chaitanya like the Vedas. If people who study them follow their guidance, they can become seekers, disciples, and later, even Saints.’

We can now perform meaningful work because of these Texts.” – Mrs Smita Subodh Navalkar, Sanatan Ashram, Devad, Panvel, Maharashtra. (8.4.2014)

Sadguru (Ms) Swati Khadaye

Sanatan’s Dharmapracharak Sadguru (Ms) Swati Khadaye’s experience on how Dharma is propagated by Sanatan’s Texts

We recently met the Union Minister of State for Tourism, Mr Shripad Naik in Goa and showed him Sanatan’s Texts meant for children and students. He was very happy and bought 2 sets of Texts for himself. He said – “Sanatan Sanstha has published Texts on all subjects that are necessary for society. I will try my best to ensure that these Texts reach society”. He intends to give one set each of Sanatan Texts to 200 schools and suggested that we give one set each to 25 schools every month.
