40% vacancies in the universities of Jharkhand : ABVP

Ranchi (Jharkhand) – The posts of Chancellors and Vice-Chancellor are vacant for the last 9 months in 5 universities of the state. Also, more than 40% of the posts of teachers and non-teaching staff are vacant, said the National General Secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Yajnavalkya Shukla, while addressing the thousands of students across the State during the dharna movement held in front of the Raj Bhavan here.

He further added,

1. The ongoing recruitment process for filling up 2,017 Government posts was suspended due to the examination paper leak.

2. Four months have passed since the recruitment exam for 1,560 posts of Junior Engineers, but the results have not been declared yet.

3. Educational activities are closed due to lack of primary level facilities in laboratories.

4. Curriculum books are not available in libraries.

5. Student union elections have not been held in the universities of the State for four years.

6. A state of educational chaos has arisen in the State.
