Muzaffarnagar (UP) – A youth identified as Javed Sheikh was apprehended by the Special Task Force of the Police, and four live time bombs were confiscated from him. Subsequent interrogation has uncovered that a woman named Imrana commissioned Javed to manufacture 100 bombs. It was during the 2013 riots in this area that Imrana requested his services for bomb production. Following this request, bombs were manufactured and distributed among Muslims, resulting in numerous casualties during the riot. Law enforcement authorities are currently in pursuit of Imrana.

The team’s Special Superintendent of Police, Brijesh Singh, stated, “Preliminary investigations revealed that Imrana distributed more than 100 bombs among her people during the 2013 riots in Muzaffarnagar and the 2020 riots against the Citizenship Amendment Act. Javed’s role in making of those bombs is being investigated. Javed had received more requests to make bombs. He used to make bombs for violence and riots. Javed used to sell T-shirts and other clothes on the footpath during the day and used to make bombs at night.”
2. Following Javed’s arrest, the Police have seized the list of requests he received for bomb production. Authorities are now actively seeking out the individuals mentioned on this list.
3. During interrogation, Javed revealed that Imrana also practiced black magic. Imrana, originally from Shamli District, resided in the Muslim-majority Khalapar area of Muzaffarnagar. A raid was conducted in this area; however, Imrana had fled before the authorities arrived. Javed disclosed that Imrana had offered him Rs 50,000 to manufacture bottle bombs. Initially, she had given him Rs 10,000 as an advance payment, with a promise to pay the remaining Rs 40,000 upon delivery of the bombs. Only Imrana knows where these bombs were going to be used.
4. Javed was trained in bomb making by his uncle and grandfather in Muzaffarnagar. His uncle Mohammad Arshi runs a firecracker shop in Muzaffarnagar. He also utilised the assistance of the internet and YouTube videos to build the bombs. Javed unveiled that he purchased iron nails from bicycle shops, glucose bottles from doctors and watchmaking equipment from watch stores.
5. Javed was born and raised in Nepal, where he also completed his primary education up to class 7. He has two brothers and one sister, all of whom were also born and raised in Nepal. His sister is married in Nepal, and one of his brothers works in America. Javed’s father has passed away, and his mother continues to reside in Nepal.
