Islamabad/Lahore (Pakistan) – On the night of 11th of February, President of ‘Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’ Party, Shabaz Sharif met ‘Pakistan People’s Party’ leaders Asif Ali Zardari and Bilaval Bhutto. Since no party has got majority in the results of the general election, coalition is likely to form.
All Independents try to quit Imran Khan’s party
Independents backed by Imran Khan’s Teherik-e- Insaf Party(PTI) have got majority but are ready to join Nawaz Sharif’s Party. To keep the Independents with him, Imran Khan’s party has planned a strategy. Accordingly, they are issuing a covenant to the Independents which restricts them from joining any other party without the consent of Imran Khan. PTI will not form Government without Imran Khan. Party President Gohar Khan has said, “We have majority and if it is not acknowledged, we would like to join the opposition”.
