Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) – Chairman of the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) Priyank Kanoongo had received information that 26 of the 68 girls in a private shelter home run illegally by Christian missionaries were missing. When he raided the place, many inappropriate things were found there. He has posted this information on ‘X’. Girls aged 6 to 18 stay in this shelter home. Most of these girls are Hindu. Regarding the disappearance of the girls, Mathew, the Director of the shelter home, said that he had no information about the missing girls.
According to the information given by Kanoongo, the destitute Hindu girls who were rescued were brought to this shelter home without informing the Government and were made to follow Christianity. A case has been registered with the Police in this regard. There are more than 40 Hindu girls aged between 6 and 18 residing here.
